As I just said on FB - they should have saved their advertising budget and spent the money on increasing the quality of their food ;)

oh great, just what I need for my 40kg gsd. That brand of food gives my other dog the runs when it was fed to her accidently. And the TV......there'll be some cursing if himself knocks that over:eek:

Fantastic. I'll tell my neighbours to call them when they complain about the barking, shall I?

Well my guy goes bananas when that ad is on and a good few people in the park have said the same so why add dog annoying sounds to it?! :D The second he hears the jingle he starts growling

It reminds me of the Whiskas advert for cats - mine barely took a second glance though!

This may be a publicity stunt as it seems that most tv transmissions don't cover that frequency.

A couple of barking dogs on TV would be enough to draw their attention without the effects.

We've been working really hard on my youngests reaction to animals on TV and I reckon this ad has really set us back :(
My girl went absolutely wappy! Don't know about any special sounds but the amount of dogs and barking was enough to drive her mad :(

I just put it on myself - normally any dogs barking or animal activity has my girl going bonkers (elephants drive her up the wall and she's terrified of bears! haha)

So I really wondered what she'd make of this ad - well - she was conked out asleep on the couch totally unaware so turned the laptop in her direction and let the video play. They wasted advertisting on us! She didn't budge or even blink an eye! haha :rolleyes: Most unusual for her, even dogs barking on the Dog Whisperer will wake her and send her bonkers! But with this - nope - nothing - nada! :D

    Same here!
My 6 dogs all lying down after being fed and this ad came on. I was waiting for some reaction but not one of them took any notice.

My two just ignore the TV. If they do pay attention to it it's generally a slight twist of the head if there is an animal noise and that's it. Obviously my strenuous socialisation regime of lounging in front of the TV works wonders.... :D

Will be interesting to see the ad. I can't open links in work, what food is it?

Woof.. wonder will it bother my cat?

It's the bakers ad where the dogs steal a van full of bakers meaty bites.

I'm a little sceptic of normal tv's being able to produce such a frequency too. According to the OP it's only just been released in the uk so the ad being aired here doesn't have this backing track yet. I'd say the barking alone will turn a few heads, bit of a marketing ploy I'd say! My guy gives a bit of a reaction to barking dogs on telly sometimes, he hasn't heard this ad yet though. The cat hearing other cats and kittens on YouTube is a whole other story!

The one they link to is the old ad without the dog sounds :(

The one on their website does have the dog attracting sounds. Not that it made any difference to the 3 in my house; they all slept through it

Oh great! My little dog even goes nuts at the felix ads and that cat is a cartoon drawing!!! Another one that sparks barking and house patrolling is the specsavers ad with the sheep and the collie! This one is going to push her over the edge!!!!
