Hi all, sorry I know I'm prob not in right section to post this but can't find any more specific for it! I'm thinking of buying a Parweld Xti 161 DV MMA Inverter welder, it is quite cheap so wondering why I suppose! Anybody any knowledge on them? Site offering it for that price is http://www.wholesaleweldingsupplies.ie/index.php?route=product%2Fproduct&product_id=407

Any info greatly appreciated as would rather wait and get more expensive one if this wasn't that great!

Parweld are around a long time. They don't manufacture welders. Its badged up for them. Having said that, they probably don't put their name to junk either.
Have a good root around here for reviews etc

    Do you need lift-tig ?
    Do you need 110/220v ?
Do you need 160 amps ?

If you want to run this on 110v you'll need a big 5 kva transformer, not the avg 3 kva.

Inverters are ok but they're all PCB's, electronics and if the go wrong, they really go wrong.
