3D Re-releases of Films

First the worst of the star wars films, now Titanic, Godzilla being planned, and probably others on the way.
Are people really stupid enough to pay a tenner each just to see it in 3d?

Titanic 3D may be worth while going just for the effects but it is a pity to have to put up with a three hour script of pure Holywood sentimental crap.

I could understand a Titanic re-release what with it being the 100th anniversary and all.

Somehow I don't think that any of the box office will be donated to any charities though.

On the other hand, I can't fathom why the Phantom Menace is re-released other than an annual Lucasfilm money grabbing exercise.

I watched The Phantom Menace again in 2D recently and i think if they had a different actor for Anakin Skywalker and changed Jar Jar's voice it probably could have been much better.

3D re-releases are a load of bollix, if it wasn't shot with two cameras then it's impossible for it to be 3D

3d is good for short films/attractions at themeparks like spiderman, terminator 2, shrek , mickeys philharmagic, honey i shrunk the audience etc, i can't see the attraction of sitting through a 3hr movie in 3d though

The storyline for Avatar was hopelessly lame and predictable! It relied 100% on effects.

And that's where I can see Hollywood going - feck-all thought put into the scripts and screenplays and trying to distract audiences from that fact using CGI.

Cinema won't be worth going to!
