Hi just seen that a few people like yourselves are selling old books, im new to ACCA so wondering does it matter if you have a book from last year or earlier if studying for June 2012 or Dec 2012? Would much have changed apart from the obvious tax books?

    Hi,
Some subjects like F7, P2, and tax change almost every sitting. Others do not tend to change a lot. If there are changes to the syllabus, a notification will be published in student accountant magzine, and you should be getting it by email if not by post.

If I buy second-hand books, I would make sure I follow up all changes, because anything newly added to the syllabus is likely to be examined in the next few sittings.

I would go to bookstore to study new sections added (usually not much). As for changes to practice & revision kit, downloading the recent past exam papers from ACCA website should do.

To sum up, I would recommend buying second-hand books if you are on a limited budget, but I would also recommend paying extra attention to any changes to the syllabus.
