Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Special K has loads of sugar in it. Skimmed milk is used to fatten up cows. If most people ate the same diet as this guy does they wouldn't be able to get to the same weight as him. That guy has a large number of problems however they won't be solved by a bowl of special poxy k.

    *drops spoon*

I WILL baaate myself into THAT red dress yet, just you wait n see, a fuppin ride I'll be!!!

    *munches on determinedly*

Expect to see a TV3 documentary about him soon.

    Not a good idea. I heard t.v. adds 10lbs.

I agree to a certain extent with the OP; you see the enablers on these documentaries bawling because their child/partner is dying, and in the next shot they're bringing in wheelbarrow loads of McDonald's. Tell them they can have the burgers when they can walk to McDonald's under their own power!

Of course it's all about control. The enablers are actually terrified that if the person loses the weight they'll leave them. Keeping them fat means that they'll stay with you until they die, even if that means they die early.

I'd like to know how the initial dole claim went, he had to have been in some way self sufficient to feed himself to a point where he then couldn't work because if his weight.

Put it this way, if I was 20 stone and went into the dole and claimed I couldn't work cause my fingers were to chubby to type, do I get assistance? Then pop off home and make myself worse because it's all handed to me, without me having any financial input into my own care.

For any future claims regarding weight, they should be sent for a medical, fair enough if there is an underlying medical issue.
But if they are unable to do the basics solely because of their weight and it's developing major health issues, they should be required to reduce their weight, send people to weight watchers clubs, build up there self esteem so they want to loose weight.

It's only going to end one way unless treated, they are keeping that man alive, but in no way is he living.

Yeah but its not as if he has a choice, eat what your given or dont eat. Of course he probably has a winge and whoever (hi mum probably) runs up with 8 hotdogs for his breakfast (puke)

That's right, blame the mothers! His mother died when he was 16. He did it to himself but it was her fault for dying.

The article above popped up on Digg about the worlds fattest man. It got me thinking though, this guy is bedridden, why are the people around him giving him such a massive amount of food? I mean he can't go to the kitchen himself, he can't shop for himself, why isn't he handed a bowl of special K with skimmed milk for his breakfast, if he wants more he can have more just as soon as he can make it to the shops himself!

feed im water and vitamin pills only till he loses all that weight... its not as if he can get up to go feed himself anyways.

    So who's feeding him now?

I sincerely hope his carers take responsibility and stop piling hot dogs into him. No human being needs eight hot dogs every morning, he'll die. Feed him what he needs and no more, and save his life.

They'll give you a typing wand (very similar to a dialling wand) and an emergency supply of mumus.

Reading wikipedia on ridiculously obese people, and early deaths of parents seems to be a very common theme. Food probably served as a source of comfort for them in the absence of that parent, which would make it very difficult to break the habit.

The issue with feeding is most likely that there's a humanitarian issue around denying him food. That is, as a human being with his mental faculties about him, any professional carers couldn't ethically or legally refuse to provide him with food if he asked for it. They can warn him and advise him all they like, but as he's not a prisoner they can't physically force him to follow their diet. His only restriction is the food that's available to him and a takeaway will feed anyone who stumps up the cash.

To do otherwise would probably be in violation of some fundamental human rights.

That's not to say though that the state could cut back on all but the bare essential services unless he agreed to follow their regime.

Since moving across the pond I have absolutely no sympathy for this man or anyone who is morbidly obese. Let him die
I couldn't believe the amount of overweight or obese people over here, flying around on scooters between taco bell & wendy's, or in a supermarket buying 24 packs of coke & $50 worth of chocolate. disgusting.

A couple of years ago, I had to regularly visit a friend in the National spinal clinic and there was a serious shortage of beds.

A couple of beds down from my friend there was this porker, hugely obese but kept stuffing chocolate bars his family brought him into his maw.

No interest in losing weight and taking up a badly needed bed in a specialised clinic. Apparantly his doctor had sent him there as he had difficulty walking!

He had difficulty walking because he was a fatty

One thing that's easy to forget is that a man of his corpulence would have an arsehole like a dozen Dyson vacuum cleaners. He's shoveling food into his mouth all day, of course, but at the other end of his digestive tract, his arsehole would be sucking in everything that came it's way....a spider falls into his bedsheets: Slurp! The crust of a pizza falls between his legs: Swoosh! Even his feces would occasionally be sucked back into his arsehole from his bedpan and converted straight into fat which could go directly to his bingo wings or love handles.

Do your research smartass. Ally Dick was a footballer who played for Spurs and Scotland in the 80s. I also like the fact that his name sounds a bit rude.
