    "Travellers". Someone say it!
Everyone is afraid of saying that simple word now.

It really is a case of pussyfooting around an issue lest anyone gets offended.

    Or seeks to get offended.

Even this official sulky guy won't say the "traveller" word. He's basically said who "they" are, but won't actually say the word.

too many obese 8 year olds, yesterday was a sweet day for a walk

My kids walk to school, but on a wide road with paths / traffic lights and lollypop men / ladies. Making them walk on a country road is insanely dangerous for an 8 year old. Do you not get that, or are you being wilfully ignorant?

If they dont have a ticket they shouldnt be onthe bus. the bus service isnt a charity

I agree in that if you haven't paid, you shouldn't be on the bus, but they should have not been let on the bus in the first place without showing a ticket.

Can someone clear something up - are these tickets bought on a daily basis, or are they some kind of student ticket that lasts for a month etc?

It was good while it lasted. Although it's a good cause, it's one of Joes pet projects as shown by his Organ Donation ad before the show.

If it's rural transport, I would imagine the ticket is for a school term that is from Sept to Christmas and another one from christmas until the Summer Holidays. I used to have 2 tickets per year (issued by Bus Eireann) and if I recall correctly over a 5 year period travelling to the local sceondary school,my ticket was only checked twice by an inspector!!!

    I'm out.

I've carried a donor card for years. Non issue for me.

Make it compulsory. Non issue for everybody.

And no need for expensive week long campaigns like this.

    True story....

My grandparents had a musical organ in their house unused for many, many years before they died. When they passed my dad gave it to a local church. Should I ring Joe with this tale of organ donation? It involves the church and his new passion so I imagine I'd get on air.
