Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Simple question really. I'm bored, not at all tired, have 8 cans in the fridge and have nothing at all at all to do tomorrow.
    Is it okay to drink on your own?

    Yes, of course. I did the very same on a Tuesday night in September 2003 and haven't sobered up since. Lost my family, my job, my house and my cat Truffles. I now live under the hub cap of an old Renault 16. Couldn't be happier, although I do miss Truffles sometimes.

    If you were to make a decision on your own about it then whatever you think. If you have to ask someone else then probably not. I'd just try and sleep if I were you, I'm going to give it a go. Keep the boozing for mid afternoon tomorrow.

    It is ok to drink on your own BUT only if you are drinking a bloody Mary or a neat scotch whilst reading a spy novel in your den.

    Make sure you go out at about 8 in the mornin pissed and start a fight with someone on their way to work. Let him win though , he will have a great story to tell his colleagues but everyone will think hes a spoofer , so the jokes on him.

    Just finished my last can, have a cig now, then to bed, alarm set for half 12 so I don't fuck up my circadian rhythm completely. Goodbye everybody. :)

    I'm succling at the teat of a bottle of 15 year old Redbreast en ce moment, why don't you all come over here? It's quite full bodied, mind you, coming in at 46%, but you hardly notice it until the finish, which blows away a few of the cobwebs. For a split second you feel like you could bring Western democracy to it's knees, as the oaky flavour roles over your tongue, but then you remember you're an armchair despot, and it's better that you remain so. God, I'm drunk before 12 again!
