Hello everyone, haven't posted in almost a month so thought I would say hi.
Noot many developments - someone should phone and find out some news for us all. (I'd do it myself but I'm far too far down the list to get any good intel!)
Anyway, bit bored so compiled a little list of current situation, some people seem to have disapeared or not let us know how they are progressing

I've passed medical and am in top 30 !!0 -
Well I phoned recruitment again and apparently everybody from that branch were on lunch so they will ring me back after 2.
Going to see if I can get any more information out of them (probably not though as i'm not very good at it)
But you never know - will update if I hear anything.0 -

Well guess what?? Same old story!
No news to tell me other than they are working through their lists (they tell me in order of merit) for the medical and haven't reached my length yet but they imagine it will be in the next 3 weeks! 3 WEEKS???????
And if I don't hear anything by then to ring again and they should be in a better position to tell me more.
I asked if I get through the medical and security checks etc when would I be starting and she said they don't even know for sure how many vacancies they are going to have and if it is say 100 they will go to the first 250 to allow for drop outs etc.
So work that out if you can, because I am more confused than when I started 0 -

Missed a call and got a voicemail from recruitment earlier! Just out of work and of course it's closed now so won't get through til Monday!! Thought it was 'the call' so came on here hoping a few others got one but no?? Now I'm worried they're ringing me cos there's a problem with something! Gonna be a long weekend!
Well grad10 did you find out what the phone call was for??

Thats great news, just very frustrating that some of us in the top 10 havent even had their medical!!!! God bless the merit system.
Did they give you lots of good info?
I know weepete - must be even more annoying for you with being so far up the list (with me being so far down i'm not expecting miracles)
Have you rang them to find out whats going on with your application recently? They won't tell me anything but seeing as you are so high maybe they will be more forthcoming with you?!0 -

i've my medical this week so hopefully its just a case of them ringing recruitment and telling them i'm ready to rock and roll, ctc says its complete but seamingly that doesn't mean your cleared just yet.
Whereabouts are you on the list again? Dont lose hope just yet.0
