Motherboard repair shops in Ireland

My laptop cooling fan/heatsink assembly recently got blocked with dust
and caused the motherboard to overheat, blowing one of the very small chips, this chip is too small to replace with standard tools.
Before I shell out for a new motherboard, I'm just wondering has anyone had any dealings with motherboard repair specialists based in Ireland, I've spotted a couple online, one in Dublin and one in Cork. The assessment fee's aren't
too expensive at 30-45e, but I'd like to get an idea of their sucess rates before I bother, as this problem already has cost a few quid, and the laptop is
only borderline economical to repair at this stage.

So has anyone with a similar problem dealt with any of these companies?

    Thanks

id weigh up the cost of a replacement board (check ebay) and the labour involved, plus any other costs incurred (postage etc) .. in the end you'll probably find it makes more sense to invest in a new laptop.

Tbh, it makes more financial sense to just buy a new laptop, but this machine has a bit of sentimental value attached to it and is in as new condition and was working perfectly before the overheating issue, and also it was (and for my use/requirements still is) a very decent spec when I bought it back in xmas 08. Its a Toshiba Satellite, and it hasn't given me a bit of trouble since I owned it, and thats included being lugged around various countries and continents. I can't particularly blame the clogged heatsink on the machine itself. I plan to replace it in a year or two anyway, but for now I'd like to get it up and running again as I feel theres still a lot of life and use left in it, and I'd like to have it on standby as a spare laptop whenever I do purchase a replacement.

sounds like you know what you want so ;) there shouldn't be any problem replacing the motherboard if you leave it in capable hands, it's a fairly routine procedure if you know what you're doing. as for motherboard repair 'specialists'.. i'd imagine most computer repair shops you find around would be able to carry the work out for you.
