Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

So I'm behind cause I'm flat broke and I've had to reduce my BB, under the threat of being cut off completely I engaged backups. I tested my 3G Mobile stick and twiddled vis me iFone to get it tethered.

Here are some results from the same PC: Upload speeds are interesting

    2/16/2012 6:22 PM GMT 8.04 Mb/s 0.43 Mb/s 58 ms
    Above my reduced BB Eircom

    2/16/2012 6:17 PM GMT 3.11 Mb/s 1.96 Mb/s 87 ms Above iPhone tethered USB

    2/16/2012 4:22 PM GMT 6.23 Mb/s 0.69 Mb/s 81 ms Above Vodafone 3G Stick Modem

    2/2/2012 6:31 PM GMT 14.90 Mb/s 0.78 Mb/s 58 ms Dublin ~ Above my BB before

I'm not sure after hours is the best place for a technical discussion on home broadband capability. I could be wrong though.....

Not complaining at all. I see no difference, I've often thought that my mobile solution was faster than my big BB station ~ OK, there are extenuating circumstances, three PC, a network, an XBox but my three different connections had the same things running.

Just for reference, over the years I was automatically upgraded at no additional cost, was disappointed once over 3meg, only speed tests seemed to benefit.

I could agree. I wasn't complaining so I did not want to put in the Eircom section.

    'Broadband speeds my tests'

surely you meant Broadband tests my speeds? you seem like a hack..get UPC (when u get rich again) and never run a broadband test ever again!

The way i test my broadband strength is by how long my porn videos take to load.

    I'm not even joking.

Out of curiosity what's the price difference of them?

I was paying €120 for 17*meg Now €50, that's approx half each for line and BB

*I should be on 24meg as that's the speed my letter says I'd been upgraded to sometime before Christmas, but subject to line, so mine settled at 17megs.

    Why would need a laser?

He's printing on paper, not destroying the Death Star.

You boys are so funny. If one were to actually warm up an inkjet printer the ink would dry out and clog and there wouldn't be any ink on the paper or just a mess.

A laser printer uses carbon toner that is negatively charged and a drum that is positively charged and the drum is also heated to seal the carbon toner on the paper as the magnetic properties creates the text.

If one were able to run a laser printer without warming it up first, one would get just dust on the page and another mess.
