Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Best part of 2K i'd reckon for one of that size. McHales wouldn't be among the cheaper models. How long have you had yours? Have a Johnson for 4 seasons now and it's going mighty.

£1050+ vat (irish vat number solves this problem) for a johnston 4ft 6", with brackets for a front end loader, priced it round october time, http://www.johnstonbros.co.uk/

the McHale.s shear grab is only the most expensive when you buy it it lasts for 20 years if looked after . we had a 2nd hand one at home for over 15 until the pin.s started to pull out more often than we would have liked . the ram.s can be refurbished if they look bad it only cost.s 200 to 300 euro to do them like

    cheers
we've had ours about 15yrs so it owe's us very little. I think that your right that the mchales last better than other makes.
it does need a full new set of blades and several of the tine bushings need replacing so might be hard to justify doing a refurb at that sort of money

Do you feed any meals or ever consider one of those bucket type shear grabs
never seen one working but seen them advertised a few times could be handy

    Have a 2 ram 5" O'Connor i think (West Cork) since 1988.

Did the seals in the ram 10 years ago.

3 years ago, cut off the bottom box and welded in a new heavier one with new bushings. Fitted a new set of tines too at the time, good as new!! :)

dont know about shear grab but neighbour bought a bucket grab lately. 6ft for 2600e. His cousin bought some stuff at the same time so probably helped a little makin a deal

Just add i think 6ft is way to heavy for your average 100-120hp tractor. Need some serious weight on the back and puttin to much hardship on the machine
