Frpm the ones I have seen live, I would say Mike Patton. The things he does live are out of this world!!!
I have never seen Freddie Mercury live, but what I've seen in videos, yeap, he ia up there too!!

The 2 best living frontmen in my opinion are Zack De La Rocha and Matt Bellamy but the best of all time are Freddie and Philo

Personally, I'd go for Bruce. Great stage presence, drives the band more than any other front man, great songs also, interacts with crowd, and most importantly you feel like he is enjoying what he does.

Surprised this man hasn't been mentioned yet; cool, sexy, great voice, charisma, and sock in pants, the total package.

For energy and all round cockiness Howlin' Pelle Almqvist from the Hives. A complete lunatic and egomaniac. Remember wandering over to main stage at about 5pm at Witnness years ago and being blown away by the guy.

Someone mentioned Tom Meighan - great front man but I actually prefer Serge, a man who just looks so cool and rock starrish

My personal favourite and IMO the best front man would have to be Robert Plant...I think Bodhidharma summed him up well in his post above. Axl Rose back when Guns N Roses were in full swing is surly worth a mention as well.

The best Frontman in the world is Nolan Lewis of the band Kryptos.

They are a heavy metal band from Bangalore, India. Check them out on the youtube websites, you may be pleasntly surprise
