€90 fuel at Esso = 1 free cinema ticket

    http://www.essomovies.com/ for full details.

at my local garage, the petrol is about 3c per litre dearer than the cheapest in Dublin but you only need ~60L of fuel to get a free cinema ticket - so your extra spend for the free cinema ticket is €1.80.

You must get the fuel in 2 or 3 visits - minimum spend is €30 per visit.
Must be an "on the run" garage and not just an esso garage. Also you may have to ask for the voucher when you're paying - our local garage was a bit slow to hand them out. You need to keep your receipt too.

Ties in nicely with the uci voucher here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2056551072

    enjoy,
    sw

    T&Cs
1 The promotion ... ends at 11:59pm on 29th February 2012 or whilst vouchers are available whichever is the earlier.

Will be hard for me to get through so much petrol in such a short time. Shame.

unfortunately in my experience it is true, Event.
The 2 Brady's garages on the N3 just before the M50 roundabout being my example. The "on the run" garage has the promotion, the other which is just an esso garage doesn't as it is privately owned. Trust me, I only found out after I had put €31 in me car!

    fair enough, event.
I suppose "ask before you buy" might be the best advice as there's no poster advertising the offer in either of the 2 garages i was talking about.

got any spare vouchers and receipts? :)

    cheers,

This deal doesn't seem very good at all.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,378 ✭✭✭Cherrycola

This has been running since Jan 1st and we only hear about it now?! No fear of them advertising it a bit better then! Or handing out the vouchers without having to ask for them! I regularly buy €50 petrol in one of the Esso stations on that list and have never been given a voucher, or even seen any promotional material about it!

A few free cinema tickets would have been nice!

  • Registered Users Posts: 706 ✭✭✭whatsupdoc?

    A word of warning

You have to send the ticket vouchers off to an address in the Sandyford Industrial Estate and they will then send you back a code.

Lads, when you're spending 55e (filled up today and nearly had heart attack) a week just to get to work and back you're delighted to get the odd freebie, AND at the local cinemas as well!!

    A word of warning.

Esso On the Run - Navan Road (towards Blanchardstown) are saying that no coupons are being handed out since the end of January & that people have until the end of February to send in coupons.

Apparently the Manager at this petrol station is saying that no coupons were to be handed out from the end of January which sounds contrary to the terms & conditions of this offer.

have 3 tokens so far wanted to get 6 but kept forgetting to get petrol in the esso down the road from me :(

The tokens are given out from 1st Jan to midnight 30th Feb.
You have until 31st March to send them in.
You also have to supply the receipts!
When you get your voucher or code, you then have until 31st March 2013 to use them.
Between €30 and €59.99 spent on petrol, you get 1 token, over €60 you get 2 tokens.

This is off the Esso T&C's.

Based on what? If you are going to buy €90 petrol anyway do it in an Esso station and you can get a free cinema ticket.

That's weird and I assume wrong since we've been handing them out all month. You have until the end of February to get it delivered.

    Yes, they are.

Source - I work in an Esso station.

Richmond Rd are out of tokens and won't be getting more in, which is a bit crap! Stillorgan had them today so have managed to collect 6 all together.

Decent deal. Pity its not running for longer and that some Essos aren't arsed doing it properly.

Boyle Esso (Cooney's) had massive banner advertising it and were still giving them out last week when last in there ;)

The Esso in Dun Laoghaire on Sunday had run out of them, the
guy behind the counter just told the customer to send in his reciept but he
sounded a bit vague so im not sure they will just accept the reciept without
    the coupon.

i posted 6 vouchers end of Jan. No vouchers / tickets yet... Its almost one month. The Offer ends by End of March. 5 Days to get the ticket once we redeem the voucher. Most of the Patrol station don't have vouchers... Is this any kind of cheating ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 30 chanianaus

    Esso Cust Care 01-6569039

U have to send 3 vouchers and 2/3 reciepts.

they have taken down all the signs in my local esso, it seems once they
run out of vouchers that's it.

The Offer ends by End of March

The vouchers stop end of Feb.
You have till end of March to send them off.
The tickets are valid for a year.

    Yes and no....

I got a voucher in email the other day, but just 1
I sent off enough for 2 tickets.
I rang the Customer service number ("Customer services on 00 353 12936204. Lines are open 9:00am – 5:00pm Monday-Friday except Bank Holiday") and they took my details and I haven't heard back from them.

    Complete crap - a voucher for 1 ticket instead of 2. It's a joke.

I don't hold out much hope for the other ones I submitted (enough for 4 tickets)

BTW - I sent away the first set about 4 weeks ago

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,088 ✭✭✭fjon

I got my 2 tickets last week. Guess I'm one of the lucky ones, haven't had any issues.

So I sent mine off last week- Looks like I might be waiting a while!!

Was it 3 vouchers and receipts for 1 cinema ticket or 2?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 648 ✭✭✭sidcon

While I dont speak directly for Esso and the cinema promotion, I do operate a site for them. Folks bear with it we got nearly 4 times the responce than was expected and hence as per terms and conditions when supply was gone we pulled the promotion, from what we have been told their office was flooded with ticket applications and they are working their way through the tons of post sacks

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,796 ✭✭✭g0g

I only ever got 2 vouchers (plus receipt) so don't have enough for any tickets! :( If anyone wants mine just PM me and I'll post them. They were earned using a DCI card but don't think that makes any difference once you have the receipt and the vouchers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,992 ✭✭✭flutegirl
