Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

i have a 5' 6'' PZ drum mower that i just bought and am renovating. the only problem i have is that i cant see where oil would go in across the top of the two drums. it also says across the top "use excusively grease". does this mean i should be just looking out for grease slots or do i have to put in oil too.

    thanks.

No oil. It just takes grease. You should never need to put grease into it unless you are replacing parts in the grease bath

    That's it.

there is a big bath which holds 20 - 25 litres of grease. All of the shafts, cogs and bearings run in this grease. The only thing that needs greasing is any outside bearings (its been a few years since we had a pz, I don't even think there are any outside bearings apart from the pto shaft).

We had a 20 year old pz that we opened up to repair bearings and it was still full with grease!!

There are 2 sets of bearings on each of the v-belt pulleys Grease nipples on both that must be greased.
