02 Dublin - how to get into Standing with a Seating ticket?

    Hi Folks,

    Would anyone have any advice on the best way to get into the standing area for a gig at the 02 in Dublin with a seating ticket? There's three of us going to a gig - i was thinking the best way would be through the smoking area downstairs and then head back in with the standing crowd?

    Any advice appreciated!

    the best way is to buy a standing ticket.........and if you haven't bought a standing ticket just use the seats you paid for......

    The one time I was in the seating area we had a different smoking area to those in the standing area so not sure if your plan would work. This was for a dance gig though where everyone was trying everything to get down, even offering the security money so maybe they were extra strict for that.

    Its not allowed and for good reason, it was due to people doing this at a smashing pumpkins gig in 1995 that a girl lost her life due to a crush in the standing area.

    Just use the seat which has been assigned to you.
