Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

This interview is painfull. He sounded very convincing when he said he gave his first marriage a good go.

In fairness though, he was probably about 14 when he got married the first time around so he was well on his way to the Silver wedding anniversary with his first wife ;)

Why do glammed-up Barbies always give the impression they're smuggling a schmeckel under the dress?

    or is that just me?

Fair play to Christy. He played a gig in the Triskel Arts Centre last night for the Vita Cortex workers.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,585 ✭✭✭✭Lady Chatterton

I love "The Voyage" but I don't think he sings it on this programme :(

I'd agree the last interview was utter rubbish IMO. Another thing is I didn't know that UK Roman Gypsies were Church Of England.

That man is possibly the only gypsy travelling through Ireland at the minute.

I wish people would stop saying that,
her management/agent/publicist are extremely clever at making money out of her and her man made assets

she on the the hand would have to double her IQ to be considered a half-wit.

I think alot of Christy's best songs were written by Jimmy McCarthy.

It's more the culture/attitude/values that surround that thing that depresses me. That she is considered something to aspire to be.

Why does RTE give Tubs 2 1/2 hours to bore us into submission on Friday nights, but BC only gets 1 1/4 hrs for his show, when it is much more entertaining? It is far from perfect, but it kicks the LLS shows ass week in and week out. Would have liked to have hear Paul Rankin and the sex lady talk for far longer than they did. They were great guests. Noel Gallagher aside, its been a very, very long time since I could say that about a LLS show guest.

Well I'm obviously not going to reveal my specialities here.

But traditional, wholesome foods with a subtle modern touch, that kind of thing.

You will be well fed, and hopefully you will be looking for the Recipe :)

And if I must have a 'theme'

It'll be Beatles night, everyone dresses up, and we have karaoke or Beatles Rockband at the end**

I will be Paul, you can take your pick of the others

** Although I think Jonathan will score well at this. But it's not all about the winning. As long as everyone goes home happy :)

He doesn't, as far as I can remember. Christy turned that into a great song, the original Johnny Duhan version doesn't sound half as good.

He does a great rendition of Nancy Spain tonight though.

Goodnight DLBOCB's (Dainty Little Brendan O Connor Buggahs!) I've opted for the dvd instead of Christy! :D

Top selling doesn't mean she is a great writer though, the Twilight Series has shown us that much to be true. I'm sure lots of her books (doubtful of all) contain some pictures of her which would act as a pervy incentive.

No, you can be George or Ringo or John, and you will pretend to look happy.

(until you are belted up on the way home, trying to decide if I get a 2 or a 3 ;))

    Christy loves his miserable songs.

He must have been tempted to kill off Joxer on his way home from Germany.

10 times better than the Natalie Merchant original:

You can come as Patti, but when you have enjoyed enough of my Midleton, you can slip upstairs into a cute little Ringo outfit ;)
