Tesco Mobile in USA

Hey all, just wondering does anyone have experience of using a Tesco Ireland sim in the states?

Their website seems to indicate that it's not supported at all.

Do you have a tri band phone?

Not sure, using a HTC Hero.

From http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HTC_Hero I think it seems to be Quad band, which I'm guessing is a step up from tri band?

We do support roaming in the US. T-Mobile is our preferred partner.

Is Data roaming supported in the US?

Not something i'd like to be doing but would be useful to know it works if I'm caught out.

The last section on this page http://www.tescomobile.ie/using-your-mobile-abroad.aspx appears to want to give an answer but just says N/A. Does this mean data roaming is not an option at all?
