can a teenager (15/16) be held liable for the actions of his parents if they fraudulent claim that he is injured in a car accident?

That would really depend on the circumstances. If he were to lie to the doctor or court then yes. Also if he were to benefit from any cash payment knowing it was obtained by fraud he could also potentially be liable.

in his defence could the child/teenager claim that he was coerced into doing so by his parents? (besides, what kind of parents would commit fraud in their childs name?)

He could certainly try. Although if he'd bought himself a new play station with the money it might not be so easy.

As any person under 18 can not have access to any money awarded in a claim without an application to the court , and as no judge should allow the release of funds for a play station , the above should not arise.
