Can anyone competent confirm if there is going to be regulation about BER minimum C-rating requirement for properties rented under RS scheme? When it is going to start?

Is that going to be a regulation? Really? That's just nuts if it's true

Not so nuts IMHO, if they pay state money to tenants/landlords they might require this accommodations to be in accordance with green policy. There is already BER cert requirement for ALL rented properties.

It was a proposal in a government report last year that the current minimum BER requirement for RAS properties be extended to rent supplement properties. http://www.dcenr.gov.ie/NR/rdonlyres/53F3AC25-22F8-4E94-AB73-352F417971D7/0/AffordableEnergyStrategyFINAL.pdf
However, it was not mentioned since then and has not been enacted in legislation. Somehow I think some lobby group had a quiet word.

Not if the property is a protected structure.

Are you sure? Even on daft.ie there are advisors who tell people that it is obligatory for all rented properties.
