What is the best way to get to Ballyfermot College if you're originally coming from Donegal?
We would usually get the bus to Bus Aras from Donegal, it's just getting the rest of the way to BCFE that is confusing.
I have an interview there in a few weeks so replys would be really appreciated.

You can get almost all the buses that go close to it from close to O'Connell Bridge.

By bus, go to O'Connell Street and get the 40 to Ballyfermot or go to Aston Quay and get the 79. By Luas you could go from Busaras to Kylemore but there's a bit of a walk on the other side.

The 78a leaves from outside Super Value on Aston Quay.

I think the 78a left a long time ago.

It's the 40 now and you can get it near BurgerKing on O'Connell Street or on D'Olier St..

78A is long gone. Merged with the 40 as mentioned above.

Agree with everyone else. Walk up Abbey St to O'Connell St. Turn right and get the #40. The stop is outside Burger King. If it raining/cold, there is a LUAS stop at Busaras. Take that to the Abbey St. The 79 and 79a that depart from Aston Quay are more frequent, but you have to walk further to get there. They do however depart per the time table for the most part, as that is the end of the line for the route. The arrival of the #40 can be a bit erratic. As it coming from the north side suburbs, it can get stuck in traffic. Trip time should be 20-25 mins.
