Virus on laptop

I downloaded a .exe file that's acting as a scanner telling me I have a virus to get me to buy their software. MS security essentials says it's called BrowserModifier:Win32/Zwangi - any idea how to remove it?

Did you follow the steps in the sticky?

Do that first, then Google it. I found this
