    Hey,

Hope someone here can help. I start a new job next week in Clondalkin. Its a 9 to 5 job. As im currently in the process of learning how to drive, driving there isnt an option. Im just wondering does anyone do this commute, if so, whats my best mode of transport? I have googled etc and have a few options, but none seem to be the right one (ie practicality wise). Any help would be amazing.

    Thanks in advance.

Bike, or 66 to liffey valley and pick up a bus from there. Where abouts in Clondalkin

Pretty much as above, depends on part of clondalkin, there are a couple of buses from liffey valley but you will need the 66 to go get there, prob takes 30mins max.

Thanks for the help so far. Will need to go to and from the village daily, but terrified the commute will take forever?

    Best option:

66/66a/66b to West County Hotel in Chapelizod and 76/76a/76b from there.

66 should take about 30-35 minutes to do this, and the 76 about another 25-30 minutes.

There are 76/76b leaving the West County terminus at 0810 and 0830.

    Do not take a 66X!

Coming back if you are on a 76 or 76b get off under the N4 flyover on Kylemore Road and cross the road to get the 66/66a/66b back to Leixlip.

If you are on a 76a stay on until Palmerstown crossroads.

A Travel 90 10 Journey ticket costing EUR 21.50 will cover you for the week - it offers 90 minutes unlimited travel from the time you board the first bus, so each combined 66 and 76 trip will be treated as one journey.

Appropriate times are those in the rows entitled "Ballyfermot" as that is how they describe the terminus.
