Opt Out Methods?

    i'm getting regular texts from kerrigans butchers (i entered a raffle with them so no problem in principle) which i would like to now opt out of
    the texts dont come from numbers, instead they come from words like

    kerfactory
    kerrigans
    baldoyle
    loyaltyclub

    if i reply with stop/unsub/optout i get "sending failed"

    would anyone know the correct procedure to opt out of this type of service.
    i presume its automated in some way (dont want to make a tool of myslef in the butchers :))

    You cant reply to the message as it doesnt have a number associated with it.
    You need to contact the sender and ask them to remove you. Also you should let them know that they have to provide an opt-out mechanism within the sms message as per regulations governing sms marketing.

    You should send them a mail to the address listed on their website http://www.kerriganmeats.ie/ they should organize to remove your number from their database.

    Report them to the data police: that should stop the texts.

    I have had the same problem with Kilashee spamming me every two weeks!
