Thought they would have gone for an outdoor show? since both of them could easily sell out the O2 on their own . gonna give it a miss though since i hate Kanye

Must say I'm rather impressed with the quality of this line-up, should be a great gig. Saw Kayne West in Cork not so long ago and he was top class while Jay Z at Oxegen 2010 was brilliant and really had the crowd going.

However, I am not a bit impressed with the timing of ticket sales. I fully intend on getting tickets for Snow Patrol/Florence and the Machine and Temper Trap this Friday and MCD have also put the Jay Z/Kayne tickets on sale the same day. If they had been seperated by a week, I'd get tickets for both but now I'm torn!!!

I know that in general, both gigs will attract different crowds but I am in no doubt that there is a sizeable portion who would like to go to both!!!!

If it's the same production they used in America it relies heavily on visuals so an indoor show may have been the only option.

Is this a kind of co-headline thing or is it largely focused on the collab album?

Gonna give this show a miss.

    Really not into modern rap.

Jay-Z is possibly the most overrated hip hop artist there is.

Not too fond of Kanye West either.

Very excited about this. Both put on a great show judging by Jay's at Glastonbury in 08 and Oxegen in 10 and Kanye at Coachella last year. It does look a great show to be fair.

Actually raging that this is on the first week of the Leaving Cert. Sounds like it'll be unreal.

I wouldn't call either "modern rap", tbh, especially not Jay-Z, who couldn't be farther from overrated.

Dunno but he's certainly one of the most creative and successful.
