    it all stems back to the dockers strikes lads, waterford could have and was the gateway for sea freight coming into ireland until greedy dockers wanted the the pay of colleagues who died and were never replaced and were'nt given it by the port of waterford so went on strike, to this day that strike still exists and as for them former dockers there are a few who drive taxi's apparently around town and its probably the same guys who shout "strike" if the gardai look at them cross eyed, personnally i can't stand the unions as i know from experience they will do fcuk for ya but happy to take there weekly rates from your pay!!!
