For me, Wrestlemania 9, What a farce that was with Hogan winning the title.

I just realised that we wont have the classic "IF YOU SMELL.......WHAT THE ROCK IS COOKING......." entrance theme at mania because Flo-Rida is gonna be doin his theme

Unless its a slow build up entrance kind like HHH with King of Kings & For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Still wont have the same effect though

My first live mania would have been 17 in 2001, I'd watched WCW since 1996 and was loyal to it right up to the summer of 2000 when peer pressure from friends got too much and I switched to watching Raw on a regular basis. My decision was made easier with the kinda of sh1te WCW were producing that summer, their miserable end was a protracted farce.

I dont know what my first was, but the first I can properly remember without having to rewatch, is 13. NOD vs LOD in a Street Fight, Sid vs Taker with Michaels on commentary, and a little known gem between some nobodies called Steve Austin and Bret Hart :pac:

The WWE Tag Team Titles will be up for grabs when champions Primo & Epico defend against Justin Gabriel & Tyson Kidd and The Usos as part of a WrestleMania Pre-Show event that will stream LIVE on WWE.com and YouTube this Sunday at 6:30 ET/3:30 PT!


I wil have to check this match out. If any set of superstars can warm the crowd up it will be these guys. Uso's deliver exciting double team moves, Primo and Epico are pretty fluid while Gabriel and Tyson are fantastic high flyers.

If WWE had a real tag division Tyson and Gabriel would be a great combo going forward.

I thought Kidd was heel? . Yea i agree that would be a more exciting match then the Divas match imo

Also the 1st mania i watched was WM 17 and is still may fav one of all time

I have hazy memories of WM5 - i remember the big SNME angle shot where Randy splatted Liz on the floor better - but I definitely remember Warrior/Hogan at WM6. Also being happy for Warrior, but more sad for Hogan since i was a huge Hulkamaniac. Very different viewing of it today lol

The set is a bit of a let down, maybe they're working under space restrictions or its not yet completed. I know I'm nitpicking but I love the whole production element of Mania, the tron, the lighting, ramp, pyro etc.

Last years was quite basic, but I did think the massive video wall worked well with a couple of the entrances.

It looks like the upper deck behind the stage will be left for seating, its hard to know though it might not be the finished article we're looking at.

Would prefer to see this on the card itself. Surely they could cut the women's match down to a minute or so and include this.

There's something not right about outdoor venues for this....WM IX memories starting to return.

I doubt Dixie had any problem with it. If it were Bischoff or someone saying it then you'd have a case but Dixie never seemed like the kind of person who would try stop something like that.

Anywhoo...

Alarm set for 7.45am
Hdmi cable already set up for the big screen
Headphones for the first half (if the missus isn't up I'll wake her for the big matches by taking out the earphones)
Few extra litres of coke, 1 litre of jameson, several packets of crisps, popcorn, lots of chocolate, leftover pizza and some salad I won't eat.

I love using headphones/earphones with the volume cranked up to the max as the crowd noise and theme entrances sound amazing. Almost as if you were in the arena, until the commentators start talking.
