Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Hi, I'm seriously considering applying for the Grad Dip in Adult Education (through NUIM). Does anybody have any experience of it? Is it good? And whatdoors does it open career wise?

    Thanks.

(I posted this originally in the postgraduates section but got no replies so maybe I posted it in the wrong area and am retrying here).

I'm afraid I don't know what it qualifies you for. Perhaps it is in relation to teaching in VTOS centres etc?

    hi,

From 2013 you will need a 'teaching qualification' to work in the FE sector - plc/adult/etc. 'For those making application after 01 April 2013, a Council approved teacher education qualification in Further Education' - from their site.

Teaching council have done some work on new qualifications for this area but no courses have been launched yet by the colleges/universities. I would do some more research as that course possibly won't be recognized or suitable.

    thanks

Try the Open Learning Centre, National University of Ireland, Galway.

They run a Masters in Adult Learning and Development. Distance/blended learning, it is a great course. Give them a ring
