    Hi all,

    Had this thread in the business section - figured I'd move it across see if there was any more feeback I could get!

    Working for a startup social media analytics company out here in California.

    www.momentfeed.com

    Have a meeting coming up to brainstorm on ways to improve the site -

    Any and all feedback/Notes/Ideas appreciated!

    Thanks everyone!

    Taglines like "where social media meets real world" are quite vague. For your headers you need powerful verbs, and to focus more on the bottom-line benefits of your service.

    The list of 'latest tweets' is very hard to scan and seems jibberish at first.

    The latest news section doesn't seem to be aimed at potential customers, it's more like an internal news board.

    Product page - a lot of the same issues, the copy is quite lengthy and unscannable. People want the main points. Headings like 'Your most valuable customers' don't signify what the content is going to address.

    A video demo might come in handy.

    I wouldn't have The SoLoMo Manifesto as the second slide because you are introducing too many new concepts within too short a small space.

    Focus on:

    - What's the product/service?
    - What are the benefits?
    - What do I do next?

    For the SoloMo Manifest, you don't mention any distinguishing features/benefits. Information is readily available on the internet anyway. What makes your information special?

    The screenshots on each of the slides are quite fuzzy. I'd try and focus in on ONE feature that complements the tagline. The images are bland, generic, they could be taken from Google Analytics or Twitter. At the moment you have too much going on with the screenshots, the result isn't very striking or even discernible.

    Re-reading some of the content on your products page - you could cut out at least half the text and have much punchier content, without losing any information.

    Edit: The front page slides are actually effective. I still have reservations about the second slide, and think the tagline "Where social media meets the real world" could be illustrated by a relevant screenshot.

    Seems like a good product, from snapshots. However the full benefit of the product isn't really shown through on the website.

    Perhaps on the Homepage a more influential link perhaps an on page "Request A Demo"

    Another thing I feel would be beneficial would be a screen recording of the product in action its different features and how it interacts with each social network.

    A perfect layout I feel to show off the product would be that of www.prezi.com clean, clear and straight to the point with the product video. Its similar layout in essence but as you see the light colours and soft touches just make it much clearer and modern.

    Nice website with good colors and styles. I would only suggest to make a welcome text, so when I visited a page I couldn't understand what it is about )

    looks nice! Really two small things pop to mind about the design of the site.

    You have a lot of rounded features on there, and while your mid section is square the latest news looks out of place.

    It would look much more pleasing to me personally if you added the following to the new_ stripe class...
    -webkit-border-radius: 15px;
    -moz-border-radius: 15px;
    border-radius: 15px;

    Also, consider not using black for the fonts. I find that very harsh on the eyes... #5b5b5b looks more pleasing to me on your main body of text, or something to that affect!

    Looks very nice over all and I appreciate good indentation when looking at a websites coding :)

    A question to maybe help improve standards to other members reading this would be, should the latest news come out as a list rather than div tags?

    Good hussle!

    just looked more into the site there.

    On your product page, the drop shadow around the rounded boxes, bring that down loads!

    It looks a bit dirty to me. Idealy the shadow wouldnt be so black, so to soften it make the shadow grey rather than changing the dimensions of it... Or change the opacity, but im not sure if thats completely compatible cross browser.
    -webkit-box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    -moz-box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);
    box-shadow: 0px 0px 3px 1px rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.5);

    Sorry to say, but I looked up and down your homepage, and I still had no idea what specific advantages you offer. Maybe your site is only for a specialist audience, but if it is not, you need to improve your usp.
