Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

TV Remote - battery leak corrosion

    Hi,

    My sony remote failed recently due to , as it turned out, battery terminal corrosion. :( It's about 3 years old maybe....

    Model RM-ED013 - came with a 40" TV.

    I've scraped off most of the gunk and it works again. But I'm afraid the remaining corrosion mat do more damage. I think I need to open it and clean
    out any gunk in the case, as well as clean the contacts properly.

    Problem is I cannot figure out how to open the remote body. It has three screws that I can remove -in the battery compartment - but still no budge.
    I don't want to break it :)

    Is there a knack to opening the case ?
