To me they are all perfect... I don't see anything strange about thinking about more than one album from one band as perfect.

Huzzah! Two of my most favourite albums ever committed to tape! As a natural link between the two, i consider Death's 'Human' to be one of the most perfect albums ever recorded and probably my all time favourite record too.

My own other 'perfect' albums (the criteria by which i consider them so is that when i play them, i almost never skip a track, and that i've considered each track at some point to be my favourite from the album):

Atheist - 'Piece of Time' and 'Unquestionable Presence'
Suffocation - 'Effigy of the Forgotten' and 'Pierced From Within'
Gorguts - 'Obscura' and 'The Erosion of Sanity'
Voivod - 'Dimension Hatross' and 'Killing Technology'
    Nevermore - 'This Godless Endeavour'
Disincarnate - 'Dreams of the Carrion Kind'
    Candlemass - 'Epicus Doomicus Metallicus'
    Trouble - 'Psalm 9'
    Bauhaus - 'Mask'
    Camel - 'Mirage' and 'Moonmadness'
    Meshuggah - 'Destroy Erase Improve'
Memfis - 'The Wind Up' (what the hell happened to these lads? They were bloody fantastic!)
Solitude Aeturnus - 'Beyond The Crimson Horizon'
Dead Kennedys - 'Plastic Surgery Disasters'
    UK - 'UK'
Rush - '2112', 'A Farewell to Kings', 'Hemispheres', 'Permanent Waves', 'Moving Pictures', 'Hold Your Fire' and 'Clockwork Angels' (i'm not a fanboy, i swear!)
    ELP - 'Brain Salad Surgery'
Napalm Death - 'From Enslavement To Obliteration', 'Enemy of the Music Business'
Dark Angel - 'Time Does Not Heal'
    Terrorizor - 'World Downfall'
    Watchtower - 'Control and Resistance'
    Fugazi - 'Repeater'
    Obscura - 'Omnivium'

In truth, i could be typing albums just within the metal/rock genre for the next hour and could probably do the same when i tail off into jazz, fusion, electronic, soul, funk, disco, pop, etc.

Hell, i enjoy my music and i'm not apologising to anyone for it! :D

    Breaking Benjamin-Phobia

    Disturbed-Ten Thousand Fists

I'm sure there are loads more floating around in my mind/iPod so I will add laters.

From the OP: What I mean by perfect albums is albums that really amazing from start to finish with absolutely no bad or annoying songs that you would skip.

Everyone has different tastes in bands and even in the same bands discography, I really doubt everyone is going to unanimously pick the same ''perfect'' album.

Katatonia - [/B]Dance of December Souls

Fantastic to see this in your list, Katatonia are such an under-rated band and should be alot bigger than they are today. Saying that their recent tour of North America has given them a much bigger fan base.

I will put every katatonia album into my list every album brings something to the table, the aesthetic of each lyric, the melancholic feel to Jonas's voice. If you have heard the song 'day' off the brave murder day album and listen to there newest single 'dead letters' you will see how much the band has transformed in the past decade or so. I,ll give my top 5 for now not all katatonia

Album 1 Brave murder day (katatonia
Album 2 Night is the new day (katatonia)
Album 3 And justice for all... (metallica)
    Album 4 Still life (opeth)
    Album 5 The incident(porcupine tree)

To me anyways these would be some on the list

    InFlames - (all of them!)
Slayer - god hates us all
    Slipknot - subliminal verses
    Rob Zombie - hellbilly deluxe
Metallica - master of puppets / and justice for all
DevilDriver - the fury of our makers hand
    Marilyn Manson - antichrist superstar
Alestrom -black sails at midnight (don't ask me why I don't even like the sea)
    Rammstein - best of
    Satyricon - now diabolical
Dimmu Borgir -in sorte diaboli / death cult armageddon
    Chimaira - self titled
Children of Bodom -are you dead yet
    Lamb of God - sacrament
    Mudvayne - lost and found
    Soulfly - dark ages
Machine Head - the blackening (most of my friends hated it)
System of a Down - toxicity

I sometimes see a perfect album as something that's been with me some part of my life because it perfectly related to what was going on at the time, not all the albums there would count but a few would. Not as old school as others lists either I'm sure. = )

I keep meaning to buy this, must do so next time i spot it.

Think i've a new entry to my list - Thulcandra's 'Under A Frozen Sun'. Been listening to it almost non-stop for over a week. The CD hasn't left the hifi, it's the first thing i put on at the computer when i sit down at it and it's also the go-to album on my mp3 player, so it's certainly doing something right :)

I don't know if there's such a thing as an absolutely perfect album, but for the sake of a post and a bit of fun, I decided to sit down and compile a list of albums that I think are pretty damn flawless. It's all subjective of course, this is what I came up with:

2pac - All Eyez On Me
    Anathema - Judgement
    Bjork - Greatest Hits
    Blackfield - Blackfield II
Boards of Canada - The Campfire Headphase
Bohren & Der Club of Gore - Sunset Mission
Brand New - The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me
Brian Eno - Small Craft On A Milk Sea
    Burial - Burial
    Cynic - Re-Traced
    Deftones - White Pony
    Dredg - El Cielo
    Elliott Smith - Elliott Smith
Eminem - The Marshall Mathers LP
Explosions In The Sky - The Earth Is Not A Cold Dead Place
God Is An Astronaut - All Is Violent, All Is Bright
Gojira - From Mars To Sirius
Godspeed You! Black Emperor - Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven
    GZA - Liquid Swords
Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights
    James LaBrie - Static Impulse
Katatonia - Night Is The New Day
    Leftfield - Leftism
    Loscil - Plume
    M83 - Saturdays=Youth
Nirvana - Unplugged In New York
Pink Floyd - The Dark Side Of The Moon
    Porcupine Tree - Deadwing
The Prodigy - The Fat Of The Land
    Radiohead - Kid A
Rage Against The Machine - Rage Against The Machine
System Of A Down - Toxicity
    The Fugees - The Score
This Will Destroy You - Tunnel Blanket
Tool - Lateralus <- Yes, some may consider this pretentious wanky nonsense, but it's done pretty damn perfectly imo :P

I hope I discover more that I can add to such a list.
