Just noticed there are new Continuum episodes on Irish Netflix this morning (not sure if already mentioned). Pleasant surprise for me on my day off as I think it's a gem of a show.

Two episodes into a drama from New Zealand, Top of the lake. So far so good, it's about a missing 12 year old.

I just finished the last couple of episodes and really enjoyed it. Found it very slow to begin with but the last few episodes were brilliant.

I dont think my opinion has ever changed back and forth so much on a character as it did with Danny, going between thinking he was a complete asshole to having total sympathy for him depending on how the episode was going.

Exact same as that, ended up enjoying it a lot, will watch second season for sure.

The Shield is leaving at the end of the month just to let y'all know. I managed to binge through season 1-7 during the Christmas break. Dout its going to be renewed by then either.

Have moved on to Bates Motel since Bloodline. They're very different anyway! Bout three eps in so still in that 'dunno if I'll stick at it' phase.

Gave up on Between after 5 mins.

Double balls, I've only just started season 4 myself. Is it available in any other regions ? Is hasn't been on the Irish catalogue that long has it ?

4 weeks of binging here I come.

Wonder will they end around the same time. Where can you find the end dates of a show ?

This is the website I use http://netflix.maft.uk/lastchance

Edit: I don't think much of the channel 4/E4 shows will be going. A lot of them where due to expire last month.......... never did. They tend to renew a lot of those British shows every month or so when the rights expire. The Shield is only available in certain regions so its unclear whether Netflix will pick it up again unlike a lot of their flagship shows like Breaking Bad which I don't think will be going anywhere for awhile.

Crap, there's loads of stuff expiring that I have on my list which I've yet to get around to.

Yea but like I said a lot of these shows tend to get renewed, just the rights for the shows expire after a year or so and its up to Netflix or whoever owns the rights whether they get picked up again. Plus the British shows are generally safe.

The Killing is on my watch-list and that's on its way out in the next month although its only 2 seasons might be easy to get through.

I had The Shield on boxset for years without watching it. Last month my best mate was looking for something to watch so I gave him the boxset and said I'd watch with him on Netflix. Hopefully it stays on at least one of the other countries!!

Watched episode 1 of Bloodline last night. Am hooked now seems really good so far.
Also watched a doc called 'hot girls wanted' last night which is excellent, its about the exploitation young women in the amature porn world. Some really uncomfortable scenes in it.

Something Wild is on US Netflix. Bit dated now, but still watchable and enjoyable, 2 distinct parts, a before Liotta and after Liotta. One of Melanie Griffith's better films imo.

Speaking of E4 shows, I watched one called "Scrotal Recall" on the American Netflix and thought it was very good. Just the usual 6 episodes from English sitcoms but had laughs, character and Antonia Thomas who looks incredible as usual :p

I also watched that documentary, it was extremely eye opening seeing how quickly women are exploited and turned out in that industry.
There's one particular scene involving "forced" oral sex which I found particular harrowing.

Finally got around to watching Irreversible last night. My god that is one crazy movie, two very hard scenes to digest.

I was nearly giving up on it after about 10 minutes but I stuck it out.

    Not for the faint hearted.

Thanks for recommending that documentary Hot girls wanted, just watched it.
The reality of the porn industry is horrible, I've watched a few documentaries now about the porn industry and one of them was were these guys were really addicted to porn but after seeing what really goes on in the porn industry and the reality of making porn, these guys actually stopped watching.

Warning: Zach Braff's Wish I Was Here is available on Netflix Ireland. Consumption may result in excess levels of saturated twee, cod philosophy and offensively inoffensive soundtracking. Approach with extreme caution.

Wouldn't expect that from someone who made Garden State. :P

Has anyone seen the documentary "Sergio: One man's fight to save the world"

I am cynical and not easily impressed and I liked it

I started watching The Fall last night on the American Netflix and got through the first series.

It's set in Belfast and aired in ROI on RTÉ in late 2012 before airing on BBC in NI and I'm only getting around to it now.

If you manage to visit America or somehow appear to be from there by other means then I highly recommend watching it.

The accents are toned down too so no subtitles necessary!
