Great film, I hated the ending though.

A little gem of a movie, loved it. The "strangeness" made sense when you realize it's not French cinema but Iranian, directed by Abbas Kiarostami. It fits perfectly into the "light touch", character-driven tradition of Iranian cinema. See This is not a film (is it still on Netflix?) to compare.

Certified Copy is one of those films where when it ends you go "that was nice" but its greatness then really starts to sneak up on you. Seen it like 3 times so far and I love the endless possibilities of what the central relationship could be. It's kind of like a cross between Before Midnight and Persona, fascinating stuff.

Season 8 and 9 of Trailer Park Boys is going to be exclusive to Netflix, this pleases me greatly.

Noticed that the Guy Pearce version of The Time Machine was on Netflix Swedan so decided to give it a rewatch as I haven't seen it since it was first released on DVD. The first 45 minutes are the kind of old fashioned story telling that they really should do more of but then the Mumba family appear and the entire thing goes wrong. I remember hating their performances when I first saw the film but sweet Jebus I had forgotten just how bad they are. Their performance are woeful, not just bad but a whole new level of suck. They're so wooden and lacking emotion that they make the performances in the Room look accomplished. Really struggling to get through the rest of the film, have 35 minutes left and terrified that I may stick a screwdriver in my earlobes if I hear any more poorly delivered dialogue from either one of them

The Vicious Kind on US Netflix. Good film but an excellent performance by Adam Scott.

I accidentally saw that once, after mistaking it for a biker horror film( where I "Aquired" it, had the wrong cover posted) I was looking for. While I was slightly miffed I had downloaded the wrong movie , I was pleasantly surprised by how good a movie it was. Definitely worth a watch.

Watched Skyfall again last night on US Netflix.

Is Casino Royale or any other bond movies on Netflix?

the US one had a bunch of the Roger Moore ones and some random ones, might still though you have to search by title though they don't come up under Bond or something, search by actor that'd do it, Licence To Kill was definitely on there I watched it recently enough. If you haven't seen it yet the documentary Everything Or Nothing is well worth a look, its the story of the Bond franchise and really candid in places.

Don't pay too much heed to those sky movies ads plugging Monster's University saying it will be 12 months before it's on any online streaming subscription services, it's on the Netherlands Netflix now :P

Was thinking the other day how it was funny Friends hasn't popped up in any region's Netflix. I see it's now on Sweden's, in HD too, for those who aren't completely sick go it yet! :D

if it didn't have Friends re-runs what would Comedy Central even show :pac: they must go through the 10 seasons every few weeks at this rate.

The Station Agent is on the US one now, great little movie

Finally got around to watching Jagten (The Hunt) tonight, been meaning to check it out since watching Efter brylluppet (After the Wedding) with Mads Mikkelson also. Absolutely amazing film, as a big fan of Forbrydelsen I was pleasantly surprised to see Bjarne Henriksen who played my favourite character Theis, unfortunately his role was very minor. The acting and writing in this film is immense, no red herrings, just a man falsely accused of something terrible, and how the community copes with it. Excellent ending I thought also.

Probably has been posted already but I see a few things are due to disappear off Netflix on the 15th- such as the IT Crowd and the Inbetweeners!

One of those crime shows popped up in my top picks today, I usually hate those kind of things as I find the re-enactments really cheesy. Anyways this one is actually very good, it's called Catching Killers, each episode takes a look at different areas in the field of forensics, like ballistics, anthropology, finger prints etc. and looks at the first case in which it was ever used and a more contemporary case where it makes all the difference. There are re-enhancements but they aren't the main part of the show so I can deal with it. It's made by the smithsonian channel and is really interesting if you are into that sort of thing. 2 seasons are up on US Netflix.

there's way, way, way too many discovery channel and history channel shows on the recent selection on the US one, and 99% of them are complete rubbish. giant this, something something wars, did aliens make the titanic? sigh, anyone remember when those channels were good?

Is there any version of Netflix which has more than 2 series of modern family?

Wouldn't read too much into that, Planet Earth and Torchwood were flagged to be removed at the end of February, but the flag was removed and they are still there.
