How come you're not managing or playing at the highest level if you know it all? I also have a UEFA Pro Licence which i'm willing to fax. Don't particularly want to post it in case it goes missing :(

    Cakewalk.

    comfortable 2-0 win.

Maybe more if they are in the mood.

Ajax are a good few levels below United.

Trouble between United and Ajax fans.

Had to laugh at this bit:

Bar manager Jenny Anslow, 27, said: “The United fans went out and then came running back in. One of them said ‘there’s lots of them coming down the street’.

Prove your claims or stop making them. They carry about as much weight as as your opinions on all things manchester and your favorite player david

Can i apologise to all who were offended by this statement (including myself reading again there). Bad day followed by an awful display by United had the steam coming out the ears.

    Apologies

that was absoulte muck today , real or barca would hammer ajax 5 or 6 nil, its simply not good enough for the biggest club in the world

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 25,953 ✭✭✭✭kryogen

Would you really think United are the biggest club in the world?

    Regarding world wide exposure, probably.

    But that's about it.

    Ever heard of Real Madrid?

Regardless of how much Barca have achieved lately Real Madrid is still the biggest club in the world, unfortunately.

I'd doubt Porto are helping proceedings either. Apparently many Ajax and Porto planned on going to both games.

A fella in Manchester who has a club in the area said around 200 Ajax fans came in with metal bars, fireworks and hammers, smashed up the place and helped themselves to whatever they could get from the bar. The staff hid in the back for safety as there was nothing the could do to stop the attack.

The Europa League often has trouble at or around matches.

I don't know if it's policed differently to the CL or if it's the profile of clubs involved, but so far tonight I've only read about two games, United's and Atletico Madrid - Lazio, and there were incidents surrounding both.

So basically from what you know only 2 of 15 games had incidents!

So what exactly is your point?!

2 of 2 games I've read up on tonight.

My point is there seems to be more crowd trouble at Europa League games than at Champions League games.

Edit: Just read the report for Athletic Bilbao - Lokomotiv Moscow, make that 3 out of 3 games with reported arrests and injuries.

It's shocking to think that Manchester united are currently 2nd in the league with that display tonight. It really shows you how the English premeir league is dropping in standards especially in Europe this season

I feel the standard of the premeir league has gotten worse in the last couple of seasons. I still hope city and united meet in this tournament it Would be great to watch as a neutral and make this tournament exciting. Back to the game and How bad were united tonight in midfield though ? Worse midifeld performance I've seen from united in years

Just got the result there now. Very surprising. I had been expecting like Des a 0-3 or 0-4 in the first leg alone against a limited Ajax side and 4th in the Dutch league.

Be interesting now with Bilbao and Bielsa who would be several levels above Ajax.

    Rooney,Welbeck,Valencia,Carrick,Scholes,Evra,Vidic and Ferdinand.
All non-starters.Take that many out of any first team and they're going to be a bit shìt in all fairness.

The more shocking thing to me is that you think that performance and team last night represents the standard of the league or even Manchester United.
All that says is if we're going to be missing 7 or 8 first team players at any one time we're a bit f**ked......as is probably any team.
