Info on Islandbridge area.

Heya I'll be staying in the Islandbridge area for the next while and hoping somebody can offer some advice. Firstly I am wondering which supermarkets are closest to the area (I know theres a Tescos on Prussia street and Cabra is there any slightly closer?). Where would the best pubs be for watching the odd soccer/rugby match or going for a drink? Finally if anyone could recommend takeaways/restaurants/cafe's etc. that would be great also

Superquinn in Heuston South Quarter - not a big supermarket but might be sufficient for your needs. Nancy Hands and Ryans on Parkgate Street are good spots for a pint or to watch a match. Don't know much about takeaways in the area.

There's a Four Star Pizza at the junction of Emmet Rd/SCR.

Fountain (James's St) is a quality chipper and probably should deliver.

Papa Mio on Emmet Rd is lovely too.

Re cafes:
My husband sometimes goes to Juno's beside Nancy Hand's. I've only eaten in there once though but others have alos higly recommended it on boards!
There is also the Phoenix Park Visitor Centre which does some nice food tea & coffee. I go there regularly
The Limetree Cafe opposite Kilmainham Gaol.
