Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hello,

I would like to get the vertical fence panels that are overlapped on the inside and outside. I saw them in a couple of places for 60 euro which is steep. anyone know where i could get them for cheaper than that. I will attach a pic when i find one.

Looks like a Hit'n'Miss Cottage panel. Try Clonee Sawmills.

thanks guys, i was going to go with the concrete uprights in between and a concrete base board but i have since watched a video showing wooden uprights and a base board that does the exact same job and looks much better and you can slide the panels in and out with these special clips you fix onto the upright. much better option for me.

Less maintenance with the concrete posts and base as they wouldnt rot in the wet ground.

Get the concrete fence panels and concrete uprights - it'll cost a bit more than double the wooden ones, but they will not get blown out of their slots in a year or two after the rain has got at them.

I had wooden panels for years, and always had to replace at least two, sometimes more, every year. I've since changed to the concrete ones and they're brilliant! It'll save you money in the long term...

Grange Builders Providers in Baldoyle (Dublin 13) are selling these fencing panels for not alot of euros at the moment.

They are also selling new 8 foot long pressure treated sleepers for 18 euro each.

Thats very cheap when compared to any overpriced sawmills, certain landscapers or any garden centers or diy stores

I have installed the standard 6 x 6 panels with wooden posts down the garden and i have a question which i know the answer to already but i would like some opinions. I presume you cannot pile earth up against the base of the panels as it will increase the rotting time but i have seen countless gardens that do this. in these situations do they use a membrane between the earth and the panels? or how would you go about disguising the base? say iw anted to put a raised bed up against it.?
