    Saw the article alright. It implied that the walkway from UL to the city has been upgraded. Has this actually happened? Haven't heard it from anywhere else.

    One section has been upgraded, just after white bridge over the canal and the other section is new from Athlunkard bridge down to the gate by the river in Irish Estates.

    They would have been better to upgrade the existing pathway first as its in some state.

    The money was put by for this years ago so it will be going ahead independent of the IMF/ECB.

    A lot of it will be going on cycle infrastructure in and around the city, with one focus being the link between UL and the city.
