Bars and Venues in Nth Dub with live music...singer/guitar, cover acts etc?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to gig around Nth Dublin (instead of city centre where I'd usually play) but I've no idea which bars have live music (singer with guitar playing covers etc) so I'm just wondering if any of you could recommend venues to approach...if you been to any pub, clubs, bars, cafes etc where they use cover acts (in particular solo or duo cover acts)?

Only area I don't want to play is Swords (as it's where I'm originally from....always feels strange the thoughts of playing in Swords...which is a pity as I know there are plenty of places in Swords with live music).

Basically anywhere else is fine so if any of you have any suggestions they'd be hugely appreciated.

The Michael Collins (RUSH) Have live bands every Sat and somtimes Fridays. They also have a live mike night once a month on a friday open to anybody who wants to play. Handy way for a person to get a feel for the place.
