Hi Beyonkers, this below is taken from the Iriah Canadian Immigration Center facebook. They put it up yesterday I think. Hope it helps.

IEC Stage Two for those living in Canada:

For the Come to Canada Wizard, Immigration Specialists recommend:

    A. enter IRELAND as country as residence

    B. enter No re offer of employment

    C. Will you come to Canada with spouse?: enter No (because it is an unaccompanying program)

The Wizard is not an application--the only purpose is to produce a corresponding checklist to send you the right forms.
The fact that the forms will have different answers will not matter. On the actual forms, tell the whole truth--IE if you are no
    w in Canada say that.

Thank you for this.. moving on then.. lol :)

I do agree that the family information instructions are worded horrendously. I'm 99.9999999999% that it is the 5707. I think the deciding factor is when they say "if you require a Temporary Resident Visa and your passport is not from these countries etc"

We are applying for a Work Permit. We're not applying for a TRV.

Sorry I know this was asked before but did everyone print, sign + scan the family form?

thats what i did, remains to be seen if its right to do.

Your completly right on that Dodo thats about the only piece of information that they gave on forms that was actually clear, ur safe there bud :D

  • Registered Users Posts: 128 ✭✭Delira

Not sure if it is completely right, because in the initial instructions it says specifically you do not need to sign any forms by hand, just the digital signature at the end when youre uploading. But as Dodo said, I reeeeally don't think it would have done him any harm. My point just is that it's just another one of these things that remain to be figured out for sure!

I'm in no rush to get mine done so I'm waiting a little to see is there's any further clarification on a few details. If I had to choose now, I would print and sign it by hand I reckon, Just to be sure!! :D

This is probably another dumb question from me, I'm just getting all the CIC stuff sorted while I wait for the conditional letter. The only thing I'm missing is a police cert from New Zealand. From what I can gather I don't actually have to get the cert myself. Immigration do it for me when I send them a disclosure form. This is what the CIC page has to say,
"The completed Disclosure of Information (NZ) form and copy of your photo/ID and signature pages of your passport must be included in your visa application kit at time of submission to CIC. "
I'm just wondering where I attach that form? Does it go into the same document as my Irish police cert or does it go into the additional document section? Sorry if this is really straight forward and I'm just not seeing it. Having a bit of a nervous breakdown with all this. The NZ visa application was SO simple! :/

does anybody have an answer to this question please??? Tearing my hair out here, it's the last thing I need to apply :(

    Hey guys.

    thanks for the previous replies.
Does anybody know how to get on the waiting list for the Canadian Visas or is it just counted as people who have applied already but didn't make it on time?

Also is it too late to apply for the Canadian skilled workers visa? Where can i do this? Thanks for the help

There over a 1000 in waiting list so think they closed it

Started filling mine and my boyfriends. All is ok except for the freaking family form. The wording of both are really confusing. I don't know which I'm supposed to fill. The one that comes up automatically, 5707, seems correct but the other option 5645 is the one the Irish applicants filled out last year and according to a previous post, go4less are telling people to complete. It's hard to know... Anyway did anyone send an email inquiring which family form it is or will I send one and hang tight!

Unfortunately even the waiting/cancellation list is closed. They took around a thousand applicants for the waiting list.
The Federal Skilled Worker Visa is closed for applications until May this year unless you have a job offer. You'll get more info on this on their website

    Thank you for your information.
Look like I can apply for a canadian work permit.

    One last question
Any good recommendations for job sites for Canadian jobs, especially in It? I'll start looking myself but anyone of you have any good ones, it will help my search.

    Thanks for the help.

This is what i did. I had to get Police clearance from Ireland,Australia,USA and New Zealand. The Irish,Australian and US i sent off for myself. For NZ i just printed out "The completed Disclosure of Information (NZ) form" and filled it up . When i had recieved he clearances back i scanned them and the NZ form all together as one document and uploaded it as the Police Clearance document.
You should already have uploaded a copy of your passport page so there is no need to attach it again.

Take a look at Monster.ca that is one of the biggest jobs websites in Canada.

If you happen to be an engineer, or have an engineering degree (civil / environmental / geotechnical) I might be able to help you out.

We didn't give away the Gasfields we handed over the risk and expense of exploration to a company who had experience in the field in return for a share of the profits through Taxation but that beside the point.

Canada uses one generic set of forms all types of applications
The WHV forms are very similar to the form for TWP and for FSW.
Is it work? Yes but it's pretty straight forward
250,000 people a year immigrate to Canada so it probably makes sense that they standardise their documents as much as possible

Extremely Naive if you think revenue will make a return off the corrib gasfield. Oil companies are protected under an umbrella of accounting standards and procedures which will minimise the tax take for ireland. Transfer pricing ensures the lowest tax bill for these companies and all their well specific costs are tax deductible. There’s also the low corporate tax on profits which works against us as the majority of profits will be repatriated back to the UK headquarters. There’s also the environmental and social costs which the major oil companies are seldom held accountable for. Research Latin American or Africa. We sold are assets at a cost!
