Apologies in advance for the multiquote - haven't been on in a few days!! :)

why not? there is an age limit so surely if that age limit is passed that would be the reason application is refused?

No - they were within the age limit at the time of application, so it cannot be a reason for refusal, as per the T&C - I can understand the apprehension though considering there seems to be no one set of rules this year!

On the IMM1295 form, what goes in the box with UCI in it?

This is the number you would have received if you ever took part in a working holiday to Canada before - it's known as the Client ID on the visa that's stapled into your passport.

nothing, you leave it blank unless your currently in Canada

Or have been in Canada previously. We were there from '08-'09 so put ours into the application form.

    This is really ridiculous.
    I'm not paying $50 for a Canadian cert until I'm told it's a must.
I don't see the point in asking for a police cert from Ireland when I don't live there! I'll await instructions.

It's fair annoying now at this stage.

It's any country you have lived in for more than 6mths after turning 18, not what country you're living in at the moment, so they probably will ask for it!

    Day 16- No POE..

Got ours yesterday - 17days later :D:D lets hope yours comes through in Day 17 too!!

Got my POE. So goddamn happy! 35 days after submitting to the CIC

For anyone curious, I submitted family form 5707 not hand signed. Even though other people in Canada were asked for a Canadian police cert I wasn't. The requirements seem a bit random from person to person

so your just trying to update the cic file number with the W to kompass?

    Hi gary27,

Wondering if you (or anyone else) can help me, I've just realised that I never updated mycic file number after uploading documents.

Is the mycic file number this 9 digit number with W in front? W

Or is this a different number you get after you get LOI???

Please anyone confirm/deny this my Visa is up 9 April and am really panicking!

    Thanks

Hey guys, I submitted my CIC application and uploaded the CIC file number on the 22 Feb, on the same day I got my confirmation letter that my CIC forms have been submitted. I haven't heard a thing from them yet (neither has my girlfriend) and it seems to be taking quite a long time. I just wanna know if anyone else is waiting the same amount of time as myself and my girlfriend?

i waited from Feb 7th til Feb 27th, my mate waited from Feb 16th til Feb 28th, while my gf waited from Feb 9th till March 16th. We all applied from Ireland with clean police certs, but the girlfriends took a fair amount of time to come, no idea why!

POE stands for Port of Entry, it shouldn't matter once you get the letter from cic about your application being approved your good to go, just take that to the canadian border and they will issue your visa there.

Hey! Just thought I'd let you know I rang them myself during the week! after me being told that my stuff had been sent of, They informed me that their 'immigrant specialists' still had all my documents and were assessing them BEFORE they were going to be sent to the IEC to be assessed!! to say i was upset was an understatement!! they've had my documents since the beginning of feb and they still have them now because they're still 'assessing' them!! anyway the long and short of it is i wont have my visa on time and they reckon ill have it by the end of april.........maybe!!!

    Hi Kayley,

Can you please post which number you called? I'd love to talk to someone but every time I ring one of the helplines I keep getting referred to other departments and I haven't managed to talk to anyone who seems to know about status updates.

Thanks in advance my current visa is up 9th April !! getting nervous!!

you see on the cic homepage when you log in, does it show your submitted application below completed and you should see your application number there the one with the W in front of it?

or look back through my posts as I have answered it many times.

the 1295 form does not be signed, you do a digital signature after upload all documents and before submitting application to cic.

yes you usually get the message in a couple of hours but it could be longer than that so you may just have to wait and see.

Got my POE this morning, submitted the application on the 27th of Feb, so processing time was under 3 weeks. thanks to all for the assistance, this thread has been very helpful.
As regards the tax reclaim previously mentioned, this is for tax paid in the ROI, you send your P45 and a P50 to local revenue office for a refund if you have worked in 2013
