About €20 for a good one. Don't scrimp on your mat, as you'll 100% regret it when it's slipping on the wooden floor or your hands can't grip it.
Where are you doing the classes, BW?

    good plan
there's a "1 euro surcharge for mat hire" but might as well bring my own if im going to fork out
where do i get a good one in town

this is the one we are looking at

and i want to do the sat morning 10am one

it's been a few years since i last did any yoga :D

I bought mine from a yoga studio Bluewolf so I couldn't say for certain :o You can sometimes get Manuka ones in TK Maxx in St Stephen's Green: they're a good brand. I have some of their yoga clothes. I'll try to think of where else would have decent ones.
I’ve done a yoga/pilates class before: I really liked it.

wonder if these lads would post it out

Yep. I want to get back into a class routine, though. I think you get a greater mental benefit from a class. My favourite teacher left my studio and I haven’t found a perfect replacement yet

Yoga Dublin is actually near enough to the Yoga Hub, I think, so you might be able to call in in person. But if you rang up, I’m sure they’d arrange to post it to you. They’re a fantastic studio.

New Boards skin huh? Looks just like the mobile site skin, with a few areas modified. I'm not a fan of it right now, but this will probably resemble the whole Facebook "Timeline" love/hate argument all over again :D

Right, time to be productive. By that, I mean go outside in to the fresh air and do stuff:p

  • Registered Users Posts: 81,310 CMod ✭✭✭✭coffee_cake

    cool thanks hermy :)
yeah i think it might be better with a class

i don't have timeline on facebook AND I NEVER WILL

I was thinking about picking it up if it's any good.

But I've regressed to the music of my teens with lots of Rage Against the Machine :D

On the whole yoga thing - looking to start next week - been recommended by physio due to my back/hamstring/general injury problems - think it'd be right up my street tbh

The extra few euro spend really will benefit you, after all you wouldn't want an annoyance from the mat you're using to drive you out of the habit.

True, and it'll help to ensure that you keep it up when you consider that you've gone to the expense of picking up your own equipment. It's generally what I do when I want to start in to some activity.

Not a Yoga mat but I use a set of these at home for my own stretching and rolling routine.
Jigsaw Floor Mats, I got them in Maplin on Jervis street for only 15 euro.
Naturally they'd be impractical for use in your class but they could be beneficial for use at home; considering the extra thickness of the padding they could be more comfortable to use and the extra weight of them should help them be more static on the floor.

Football with german commentary is as boring as english

I stayed in bed and watched the Google I/O keynote and drooled at all the fancy new gadgets.

It's probably a bit sad I even brought along some sweet and a bottle of coke and treated it like a movie.
