windows defender and microsoft sectrity essentials

    these are both anti virus software :confused:
    i ask cause windows defender is using up alot of memory and im wondering can i do with out it and use microsoft sectrity essentials as i am using a program and it freezes when i try open a file

    Windows Defender was the precursor to Security Essentials. Its still available, but unless you have a specific reason to run Defender you should use WSE.
