Sky Go Blocked For Jailbroken Phones

Sky launched Sky Go on Android last week but it seems that Sky have blocked rooted Androids and Jailbroken Iphones.

Sky CS response : "Unfortunately we are unable to support rooted devices as this breaches the contractual agreements we have with our content providers. This also goes for Apple devices which have had their software modified."
Is this going to be the 1st step of many developers blocking modded phones ?
There is a tweak out there on Cydia which bypasses jailbreak detection in App Store applications. The developer has stated that he is trying to get a fix to add Sky Go to the list.

xCon Alias bypasses jailbreak detection for streaming tv,not sure if it will work for SKY GO . I'll have a try.

I still have the old Sky 'mobile TV' app on my jailbroken ip4 and it works perfectly.

It's an alternative, not as many channels as sky go though.

Yeah I have that on my phone but need to call sky to reset the number of managed devices.

Has anyone been able to find and download xCon from Cydia? I have only found version 14 but I think that the latest version should be 20.

It should be on the http://apt.modmyi.com repo, in my case is v20

The developer of xCon has today released a new beta version on his own cydia repo:

xCon 25 has now been released and I can confirm that sky go is now working on my jailbroken iphone again!:-)

I can only find version 23. Is this the latest? Sky go isn't working with this version for me though.

I dunno why its not showing up... I had v23 and upgraded to v25 and now Sky Go is working again... weird that the new version isn't showing up for anyone else

Nice one, thanks. When I installed it initially it asked to respring but when I tried to play a channel it just crashed the Sky Go app at the point where it normally gave the error. However I rebooted the phone and it's fine now.
