Could someone tell me how many games are played each season in the IPL.
And how many teams are promoted and relegated.
    Thanks.
Indian Premier League cricket is it?

really ??? shels bottom of the league (Sorry Gav), playing terrible (SorryGav) and you think because they are playing at home they will win !!

U2.5 could be a good bet in the Shels game ...previous game was 0-0.

Strangely I think BTTS in Cork game could be worth a punt (Cork at home against an in form dundalk) .... I strangely fancy Cork to win ...and at 2/1 it could be worth a sneaky fiver .... 1-1 and 2-1 would be my bet.

While Cork have had a really bad time recently - they did manage to raise their game for Sligo at home...and could possibly raise it again tonight.

We got very lucky last week against Cork could have went either way, I'd bite your hand off for a draw tonight and say the players will be happy with a draw too.

    Any thoughts on Mervue tonight?

Won 3 of last 4 at home ( loss to Longford), Finn Harps in woeful form, lost their last 3 away games....

Both Mervue and Harps are horribly unpredictable in my opinion, have been stung by both too many times this season to be interested in a game between the two. Mervue missing captain Tom King and one or two others but have top scorer Ryan Manning fit, Harps have three new players brought in and 3/4 left. Maybe Mervue double chance but imagine the odds would be muck.

Well we all need a little bit of luck - so maybe shells got it last week and didn't get much before - so that means there luck is in , like our sun , here for a long time !!
As regards shells - yes you do get them on the beach , also you get shels on the beach too - pernounce both words as they are written and they mean the same - I like shells not shels , hope that doesn't upset your day, you obviously just a blow in fan ! As you delighted with a draw ! Embarrassing to say the least -
Leave the real tipping to the big boys , small fry :-)

wouldn't be surprised if your treble were all draws (which would be bigger odds more than likely) .... €10 wins €330 ...so 32/1 for all three to draw !!

    Gone for Dundalk/Cork/Harps treble.
Boom, 3/3 so far this LOI season, long may it continue.
Just the overs double on the Limerick and Sligo games for me, pays around 3 and a half to 1.
Get in, 4/4 on LOI for me this season now.

At least attempt to get your facts right before you mouth off.

Tonights games isnt particularly appealing, Longford have won both the games between the sides this season, 4-3 in Cobh and 5-1 in Longford, maybe an overs bet but 7/10 is awful skimpy.

Blow in when Shels were bottom of the League till yesterday? Some man! 7 years season ticket holder isn't bad for a 22 year old imo, went to my first match at less than 1 year old, kid! ;)

Seems the last time Bohs were bottom of the league and Roddy was appointed was before your time so. Don't think either shels or Bohs will be relegated at this stage. We have players coming back and ucd have their defence suspended next week, could be a big turning point.

I don't think Roddy will do the job, 1998 was before I started getting heavily involved in LoI ye, but it doesn't really matter. Bringing in Anto Murphy to supposedly add some depth shows the situation, the chap barely got his game at Sheriff this season afaik and aside from his long throws he was near useless with us, not to mention his shocking discipline. Doesn't seem like there's many options either on the table, already know of two managers approached who won't be taking it.

I think it's between ourselves, Bohs and UCD tbh, Bray should have too much to get away from it. Drogs and Cork are going to come into the battle by the looks it, Drogs getting no luck and Cork just can't get going.

Got to be UCD for me, losing McMillan is disastrous for them and then they also let Dinny Corcoran go back to Bohs.

They've still managed 4 goals in their last 3 since McMillan went, difference I suppose is both us and yous are finding the net too.

    Cork City –v- Bohemians - 7.45pm
Corks last 6 matches have been over 2.5 goals, while 5 of their last 6 games have gone over 2.5 goals. Bohs last 3 away matches have gone over 2.5 goals.
Over 2.5 goals looks a good bet at 23/20 (General).

    Drogheda Utd –v- Limerick – 7.45pm
Limerick have been all over the place this season, and Drogs haven’t hit the highs they did last season. Limerick have just set up a link with Man City and have just signed two of the “Right to Dream” Academy players from Ghana through their partnership, great potential in these two lads supposedly and they’ll want to impress.

Drogs have lost 4 and drawn 1 in their last 5 matches, Limerick stats aren’t much better but Limerick DNB at 6/4 and Limerick win at 13/5 could be huge value, keep an eye in play!

    Waterford –v- Cobh Ramblers – 7.45pm
They need a win, they know it and they’ve made 3 great loan signings who’ll give them final push they need to push for promotion!
    Waterford -1 asian @ 1.825

Both sides missing a few, Under 1.5 goals could be a runner for a value stake imo!

    Shamrock Rovers
Injured: Richard Brush (shoulder), Ken Oman (foot).
    Doubtful: Mark Quigley, Thomas Stewart.
    Suspended: Jason McGuinness, Stephen Rice.
    Unavailable: Eamon Zayed

    Sligo Rovers
Injured: Iarhlaith Davoren, Ross Gaynor (both knee), Danny North (hamstring), David McMillan (infection).
    Doubtful: None.

Going from work to Leopardstown tomorrow for the races and Happy Mondays and then on Friday I'll be going straight from work to Inchicore so won't be a write up by the looks.

Dundalk look overly priced to win, DNB could be worth a punt.

    Athlone could be value also.

Not much stands out at present, may get a 20 minutes during my lunch on Friday to have a quick look to see if anything stands out.

  • Registered Users Posts: 492 ✭✭TheJackAttack

    Mervue(7/4) v Athlone(8/5) tomorrow 7.45pm. draw - 11/5

This could prove a great game for Athlone to kick-on from their win against Longford last week.

I've made a couple of observations:

    - Athlone beat Mervue 3-0 in Athlone during the season.
    - Athlone have a decent away record however have not been scoring a pleniful amount of goals of late even though they have a decent strikers who can score goals P.Gormley, Sweeney and new signing Curran.
    - Mervue have not concede more than one goal or lost at home since playing Longford in May.

I think Athlone DNB 1.50 or Athlone double chance at 1.45 is a good bet.

8/5 on Athlone win is a very generous price.

The 3-0 scoreline wasn't a good reflection on the last game, Mervue outplayed Athlone for long spells, played 80 minutes with 10 mens aswell.

Mervue made easier work away to Longford (winning 3-1 at CCS), whereas Athlone were backs to the wall for the entire second half there last week.

This will be a draw I reckon.

Draw no bet is great value.

Both teams are almost matched in the 1x2 odds, therefore DNB should be close to EVS on each which it is. saying 1.5 is value is crazy
