Something going on in Coosan area of Athlone tonight?

On the way home this evening, came upon a Garda van with 3 guards, unmarked car and plain clothes officer down near the applegreen. Stopped me, almost got in the car beside me and asked where I lived. Anyone know what was going on? Just being nosey tbh :)

There was a big checkpoint campaign launched the other day. They were supposed to have been pulling cars out near Kilmartins this morning too.
