Who wins? I think the favourite for me would have to be the Grizzly due to its sheer size but I feel the gorilla has a chance due to it strength and agility.

I don't think the Gorilla would have the intelligence to avoid the brute force attack of the Bear (which on strength and size alone would dominate it).

With a good strategy the Gorilla could win but I don't see that happening.

A quick google search reveals:

The animal channel claims that the Silverback Gorilla is stronger than a Grizzly Bear. The show mentioned that a large male silverback has strength to bench press 4600 pounds.

It makes sense. Gorilla have been around a long time in Africa. They must be able to defend against lions and other big animals.

It takes 6 grown men to control 1 male chimp. It looks like it would take 16 men that can bench press 300 pounds to take on 1 silverback gorilla.

If we go for the extreme end of the scale, according to google the largest wild male silverbacks can reach about 6' and 510lbs where as the largest male grizzlys have been recorded at over 13' and around 1500lbs

I think it would be very unfair on Brian to be put up against someone in a much higher weight division. We need to keep it competitive at the end of the day. A gorilla & a bear would be a cracker.

Silverback. But what about a silverback vs. a polar bear? If you're going to pick a bear, pick the biggest. Picking an agreeable climate/location that doesn't disadvantage one of the fighters would be difficult though.
