Just a heads-up. The Playstation Network will be down for about 14 hours tomorrow, starting at 4pm Irish time. Even if you're already signed in you'll be logged out.

Seems like its started now it wont let me log into Psn to watch netflix.

I'm logged in and I have seen the notification to tell me one of my friends has logged on about half an hour ago

EDIT: I have logged out and back in successfully so it is definitely not down

I was going by this site isthepsndown.com/ but I wasnt sure if it was legit. Crap. Netflix wont work without PSN connection.

Thanks for the info - i see on twitter that they are having trouble with the PS store in some countries so maybe the problem is linked.

They're not lying - I'm online now and my ps3 did its auto update at about 10am.

Working fine for me, but it took a few goes to log in, but the PSN status on http://ie.playstation.com/ says it's partially available.

If you have already tried the usual restart PS3/restart router steps, I would then check with Sony or whoever your ISP is.

Ok found the cause of the issue, it seems i've rate limited myself due to trying to input a faulty PSN voucher code too many times.

I got a few messages about the PSN being down but it never affected me. Maybe they got better ideas.
