Waiting three hours for a bus

I am getting the 44 bus on Saturday to Kilternan. It only comes every three hours. The inacuracy of Dublin bus is well known so what am I supposed to do, wait at the bus stop and hope I'm not waiting too long?..."pretty much" is the answer I expect to get.

Surely there has to be an alternative to one bus every 3 hours, perhaps a Luas to Sandyford and a connecting bus to Kilternan or something.

Get a train to Dun Laoghaire and get a 63.

3 hours ? wtf are you talking about ?

there are 22 buses on saturdays, almost every half hour at peak times.

I think somebody was reading the timetable vertically rather than horizontally.
