Interestingly & sadly that beautiful vessel was sunk by the Germans in WW2, not far off the Donegal coast.

Some good footage of here as she is today.
"RMS Empress of Britain, 163m rebreather dive, 68 miles West of Rosguill, Donegal , Ireland"
Looks like they got an unusually good day for it. But think these folks have more than a few screws loose:confused:.

    Thats what ROV's are for:D.

How to get tugs in behind the ship ready to float out of dry dock? Easy, crane them in!

Not sure if she is going to come down the Irish Sea, but this wee beastie has not long cleared the Minch heading for the med.

Not sure if the link will work, but it is the heavy lift ship, Hawk.

A new (but now cancelled) class of destroyer for the USN.
There will be just 3 eventually.

Remarkable in its hull design and power plant & its massive size.
eg: The ships power plant generates 58 mega-watts of surplus power over & above what the vessel needs itself.
Whereas the current mainstay, the Arleigh Burke class generates 9 mega-watts in total to run everything on the ship

It's hard to gauge the size of it until you see the people!

The new US Navy railguns apparently require 25 MW each to operate
“This better work,” one defense official said.

Obviously the Ruski navy don't switich on their AIS, but they have a sizeable tug in the flotilla who does have to have AIS, so watch their progress here!
