This might look like some bizarre computer rendering, but it's a photo taken of the superyacht 'A' seen leaving the Kiel canal recently.

It's weird that there's a super yacht called "A" too. Same owner? (A non sailing one)

    It is.

Do a Goolge Image search for Charles De Gaulle deck and it comes us, big G at the back, and the white markings up towards the front.

The one thing aboard you've always wanted to do, must never tell the office about, have to bribe the old man and chief mate to allow and swear everyone to secrecy.

just don't take a bloody photo of it and put it up online!

Loading logs in West Africa in the 1950s. A great time to be at sea, I'd imagine.

    Seized in Gibraltar...
Gibraltar has impounded a Russian billionaire's superyacht - one of the world's biggest - because the German shipbuilder says he still owes 15.3m euros (£13.3m; $16.3m) in fees.

When they're more streamlined and swept back they're great looking designs but that one is just too crude looking. The winows look cheap aswell, I know they werent but thats the way they look.

I meant it's better looking than the one that's impounded. Not that it's a good looking boat.

Ark Royal? I can see Buccaneers and Phantoms on the flight deck so I assume the late 60's, early 70's.

Sounds likely, there was no specific information from the source, just a large scale RAS operation.
