Burger King Lower Baggot St gone

Saw at the weekend that BK on Lower Baggot Street had closed as their lease expired. It's a big loss to the area as it's the biggest fast food "restaurant" around the Merrion Square/Baggot St area. Well in this economic climate possibly a
Cash for gold or 2 euro shop. I seriously hope its taken over by a decent affordable cafe. There is nothing but starbucks and insomnias in Dublin 2 with a few family owner cafes but not enough

No; I think "suitably appropriate retail" is more like a better version of the Westbury mall. I see it's going to be another entrance for the hotel and Guilbaud's is going to be extended and moved as part of the extension so I don't see it likely to be what you're suggesting. I doubt that you'd regard it as any more suitable, however.
